As you might know I was on holiday at the end of september, FINALLY after two years !
We decided with my boyfriend to go to Greece, and we chose Corfu Island, it was a really good decision, we absolutely LOVED the island and we weren’t bored at all, and that’s because we visited almost the entire island by bike (thanks to my loving boyfriend who was so nice to ride the bike) and it was a great experience I must say, it was my first time going on a bike, my bf even showed me how to ride it, it was amazing!
We are not the kind of tourists that stay in a hotel and tan near the swimming pool so we were very happy about this possibility to rent a bike (everyone there rides a bike, and you can rent it in every small town and that’s because the streets are so narrow, it is difficult to pass by car.. ). We recommend to everyone to do the same if you want to really see the beauty of the island, there are many places that you can access only by bike and not by car. The cost is approx. 20 euros/day for a 125 CC.
The Corfu Island is very green, with lot of flowers everywhere, it is peaceful and safe, and we felt very happy there. It was like in paradise to me. Everyone was really nice to us, people there are so welcoming especially in the small towns.
The island smells fresh, nature, flowers, vine and feta cheese. I loved the food there: feta salad with delicious tomatoes, Kalamata olives and olive oil (plus tzatziki sauce!), I could eat the same thing every day!
I preferred the North that the South of the Island, I especially loved Le Canal D’Amour (it’s popular and there are lot of people near this place, but if you swim till the small bay you can be all alone and it’s really beautiful there), near this place there is Cape Drastis, with its great views !
Here is Le Canal D’Amour
And Cape Drastis:
I didn’t really enjoyed visiting the capital of Corfu – Kerkira/Corfu Town, but that’s because I live in a capital city and I was searching for some peace and silence and nature, but it was interesting to see anyway (my bf said the city reminds him of Tunis).
There are lot of cats everywhere (heaven for cat lovers!).

And here are some other photos of the amazing Corfu:
I recommend you to visit this Greek Island, I will definitely go back there one day. It was so difficult for me to leave Corfu and be back at work and in the city after one week in paradise..
