Best of 2015: Beauty and Books

January 1, 2016

Hello in 2016 my beauties! Happy New Year !

So sorry I haven’t posted in a long time, I had so much on my head. But here I am and I hope I will do better in 2016 !

Before we move on to the New Year, I wanted to show you my favorite items of 2015. Those are the products/things that I used the most this past year or that I discovered this year. I have some beauty products and some books that I thought you should know because I absolutely love them all !

Zara Woman Femme

I was really suprised when I discovered Zara perfumes I didn’t know they are so good, cheap but smells really amazing like some of the really expensive ones. For instance Femme really reminds me of my YSL’s Manifesto perfume that I adore, but it’s so expensive that I couldn’t afford it to use daily, just for special occasion, now when I have Zara Femme I can feel like every day is a special occasion ! It smells very feminine, vanilla-y but also musky I just adore this perfume. Beside this one I also liked Oriental, Fruity and Black Vanilla. Perfumes for men are also great.

Rimmel lasting Finish foundation

My favorite foundation this year, it’s perfection! I reviewed this product already just click here !

big drop of foundation

Inglot Freedom System HD Sculpting Powder

The best sculpting powder in my opinion, the color (505) can be used for every skin tone I think. I’m using it as a sculpting powder but also as a bronzer on my forehead so this product is really versatile. I highly recommend you to try Inglot products they are all great quality and affordable prize (at least in Poland where they made it)!

Inglot Brow Shaping Pencil

New product in my Inglot collection, bought it before for my mom (she loves it) and recently I tried it for myself. I was searching for a brow product that I can quickly use in the morning when I’m getting ready for work and I don’t have much time (like 5 minutes to be precise). So this one is really nice, it gives color and at the same time it has a wax to keep your brows in place. Just quickly brush them afterwards and you’re good to go! There is few shades, mine is 62 and my mom’s 63, both good for me.

Rimmel Super Curler 24hr mascara

Christmas gift from my mom it was love at first side :D. After trying another Rimmel’s mascara (Scandaleyes) that was a huge dissapointment I was suprised that this Super Curler one was so good, it gives you a very natural look, but you can build it up for more dramatic look if you prefer, it curls your lashes and don’t clump, it’s just great ! Even if normally I don’t like those plastic brushes in mascaras I don’t mind it in this one.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

Matte, bold color, stays really long even if you’re drinking (tested). You have to put a good lip balm underneath but overall I think it’s a good product that I was using a lot this year.

Skin care:

Elo-baza krem lekki (light cream)

The best moisturizer I have ever used! No kidding. Since my mom bought me this cream last Christmas I was using only this product!

It’s light, it penetrates the skin immediately, doesn’t feel greasy, can be used as a base for makeup and it really hydrates the skin! It’s my saviour when my face feels like lizard 😀 You can buy it only in drag stores and it’s a big plus for me. This cream can be used even by babies so it’s really delicate and good for sensitive skin! It’s perfect if yu have egzema or other skin problem. There is also a body moisturizer in the same range which is also amazing!

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for sensitive skin

The only micellar water I was using this year, and the only product I was using for taking off my makeup so trust me it’s really perfect! This product doesn’t dry you skin and it feels nice after using. It takes off all the makeup even waterproof mascara. And it last reeeealy long time (for me it’s 6 months I’d say). You don’t need more than that.

Le Petit Marseillais Lait Reparateur Shea Butter Aloes and Beeswax moisturizer for dry skin

New product for me. I don’t use body lotions/creams every day just because I’m a lazy girl ^^ but this one I really liked, and I was using often. It moisturizes nicely and it smells sooo good!

Muk. Raw Muk Styling Mud

If you are following me on Facebook you know that I recently cut my hair really short. So I needed a new product that will help me style my new hair. Thankfully my hairdresser was so nice and gave me this minature product to try out. It’s a styling mud from a brand called muk. and it’s perfect for short hair (for long hair as well I guess), it’s not dry so your hair still feels natural, not like you have a ton of product on your head, but at the same time it really keeps your hair in place, just like you wanted. Plus it smells nice and it’s easily washable. A small-huge favorite !

Nioxin Diaboost Thickening Xtrafusion Treatment

This product helps you to grow your hair faster and stronger ! And it really works, my hair is so much thicker and stronger after using this (every 2 days for 1 month or so). I really see the difference it’s amazing! You just have to massage it into your hair roots after washing your hair and then style/dry as you would normally do. It’s little bit on the expensive side but I think it’s worth it.

#Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso

This book gave me so much motivation this year, after reading it I want to be a #girlboss as well haha. It’s Nasty Gal’s creator biography, and you can learn a lot from this inspiring woman!

Vogue Factor by Kirstie Clemens

Another great biography-like story, this one is by Kirstie Clemens, the editor in chef for many years in Vogue Magazine Australia. This book showed me that I can be anyone I want if I work hard enough. It gave me that boost of energy and hope that one day I will fulfill my dream and work for a fashion or beauty magazine. Really recommend this one!

Jadłonomia by Marta Dymek (vegan cookbook)

So as a newly-ish vegeterian in town (aspiring to be a vegan in 2016) I needed a good cookbook and I found this one, it’s a bestseller in Poland and it’s written by polish blogger Marta Dymek (you have to check out her blog! Jadłonomia). She has the most amazing pictures and recipes for loads of delicious food! I hope one day she will translate her page into english as well.

Secret Garden Coloring Book by Johanna Basford

I’m very happy the coloring books for adults are a thing because I’m so into them! I love this one especially, the images are so beautyful ! I love flowers and there are lot of flowers in there ^^. It helps relaxe and concentrate a little bit on yourself and your thoughts, I love to go offline in the evening and just appreciate my own company  and my crayons ^^. Did you tried it already?

Winter is coming…

This is so great! I never knew Zara made perfumes, I’m definitely going to have to try it. I’d have to say that I’ve recently discovered how amazing Bobbi Brown lipsticks are, I can’t get enough of them!

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iP8s&#o217;d. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

that workout looks so FUN! i took a class with my former trainer last weekend after not working with her since april, and it was great solo runs and yoga sessions are great for thinking and recharging, but working out with a buddy or a cheerleader is so much more mentally stimilatung!
